Good morning, teachers and students. I’m Morant from 2201. It’s a great honor for me to make a speech here. Today, I’d like to talk about the importance of recycling.

Recycling is a practice that turns waste materials into new materials or objects. It can also include the recovery of energy. The recyclability of a material depends on its ability to regain its original properties. In other words, if a plastic bottle can be recycled into a new product, it is reusable. It's important to note that recycling is not just a good way to save the environment; it's also a smart way to save money.

Recycling is important because it reduces pollution. It helps conserve natural resources like trees and oil and reduces the amount of waste in landfills. It also helps us conserve energy, which is crucial for our environment. By recycling, we can make more use of the resources that we have. That way, we can reduce our energy bills. Recycling also helps the environment by reducing pollution, which in turn helps keep our air and water clean. 

Although recycling reduces the amount of waste in landfills, it is not a perfect solution. Recycling is just one of several options for disposing of waste. It works best when the economics are in our favor. However, when economics do not favor recycling, it's inappropriate. In addition, it can cause additional costs because it requires consumers and businesses to take actions that they won't otherwise do.

Recycling reduces pollution by diverting waste from landfills and creating new products. Recycling also conserves natural resources by avoiding the need to extract raw materials from the Earth. It helps preserve the natural habitats for future generations. By reusing materials, you can light a light bulb for four hours with a single glass bottle, which saves energy and money.
