After winning awards in the SMC and AMC Mathematics Competitions, YISers have won awards in another two international competitions, namely, the Australian Biology Olympiad and the Canadian Junior Chemistry Olympiad!

Australian Biology Olympiad (Global Award):

Wang Shuyan (Christine) - Second Prize/Distinction

Hu Xinyi (Sophie) Third Prize/Credit

Canadian Junior Chemistry Olympiad (National Awards):

Hu Xinyi (Sophie) - Silver Award

The Australian Biology Olympiad (ASOB), initiated by the Australian Society for Scientific Innovation (ASI), is Australia's highest level Biology Olympiad. The aim of this activity is to test the challenger's ability to solve biological problems. Focusing on students' interest and creativity in biology, the competition challenges and stimulates students' intelligence, and reflects the rich and valuable subject characteristics of biology.

The Canadian Junior Chemistry Olympiad (JCCO), hosted by the Canadian Chemistry Olympiad Organizing Committee, is one of the most authoritative primary Chemistry Olympiad events in Canada. This activity is a pre-selection session for the Canadian Chemical Thinking Challenge (CCC). It cultivates students' interest in chemistry, so that more chemistry enthusiasts can experience the charm of chemistry. By participating in JCCO, our students can gain valuable experience in Canada's top chemistry academic activities.

Subject competitions provide important platforms for students to compete with learners around the world and showcase their talents. It is expected that students can win more awards and create new achievements in the new year!
