Dear teachers and fellow students,

Good morning. Today my topic is Embracing Individuality.

To me, individuality is not about being unusual. It is having the courage to hold independent ideas, to speak up bravely, to stand firm against doubt, and to stay true to your judgment even when the whole world disagrees. It is this kind of strong, unyielding character that turns impossibility into success.

When Tim Cook first joined Apple, he saw deep flaws in the supply chain and proposed bold reforms: closing redundant factories, streamlining production, and completely overhauling inventory management. His plans were met with widespread rejection. People called them too radical, too risky, and against Apple’s tradition. Many doubted that such tough changes could save the company. But Cook did not back down. With a strong will and unshakable belief in his vision, he pushed forward with his reforms. In the end, he built the world’s most efficient supply chain, laying the foundation for Apple’s global dominance. His persistence proved that individuality is not stubbornness—it is courage.

Another inspiring example is Lisa Su, the CEO of AMD. When she took charge, the company was on the edge of bankruptcy, with heavy losses and low market confidence. Lisa Su put forward decisive plans: cutting inefficient projects, focusing on core chip research, and betting big on the Zen architecture. Her decisions were heavily criticized. The board resisted, the industry mocked, and few believed a turnaround was possible. Yet she stayed determined, sticking to her strategy without compromise. Years later, her bold vision paid off. AMD rose from the brink of collapse to become a global leader in semiconductors. Her strong individuality and unwavering faith turned failure into legend.

These two stories teach us the same truth: individuality gives us the courage to think differently, the strength to stand alone, and the faith to keep going when no one believes. The world often rewards conformity, but real progress comes from those who dare to be themselves, dare to disagree, and dare to insist on what is right.

As young people, we should not be afraid to voice our unique thoughts. We should not change our minds to fit in or give up our beliefs to avoid criticism. Let us embrace our individuality, stay firm in our values, and have the courage to walk our own path.

One day, our persistence will prove that being different is not a weakness. It is our greatest power.

Thank you.
